Well Im about to get a car and I was wondering what kind of car you all think i should get. I was thinking about either a scion tc or maybe a ford, But i have also seen a few audi TT in this area that were selling for around 14 to 17k and have between 37 to 50k miles. So what do you all think? Oh and if you think of any other cars, feel free to mention those too. Thanks!

Today's domestic cars, especially Fords, are solid automobiles.
I think people who dis American cars are doing so because they
have a problem with the United States in general, and love to
put it down. I have a 93 Ford that I bought new, and it has been
a near-perfect car for many years. And it was made in 93. Today's
cars are even more reliable. I have test driven a lot of cars in your price range. I love the Scion XA, but its 1.5 liter engine
isn't very lively. You would get bored with it's lack of pep.
(I'm not sure what the TC has under the hood). I personally do not like the style of Ford Focus. It's a great little car, and agile, but it reminds me too much of the Escort. Test drive a Hyundai
Elantra GT. The GT model has high performance suspension and is fun on the curves. They are in your price range,
and Hyundai is earning a great reputation for quality.
I personally would get a Honda Fit. I have read great reviews
about this car. Although maybe it's not customizable enough for you. Check out reviews of new 07 cars on Edmunds.com.

I worked for Toyota for years and I know their cars are very dependable. Far more than Ford. The Scion TC is a nice alternative to a sports car. It is sleek and sexy. You get good gas mileage and as long as you take it in for your oil changes and check ups, it will last a long time. Take a chance and get the best.

Good Luck on your decision!!

I think buying a new car is best, if you have the money, and given gas prices these days, maybe getting a new car that is fuel efficient (like a hybrid). I purchased a Ford Focus 2000 new and in general it was a good car.

What is your price range? The new Dodge Calibers are geared towards the 20-somthing male and priced really reasonable.
