Lay out for an hour or so each day, i got real dark doing that, you can also go to a tanning bed, and if you don't want sun damage try spray on tans, or tanning lotions, i recommend nutrogina spray, you can get it at any drug store, and it doesn't leave orange spots, good luck sweety!

First you need a base tan. I recommend mystic tanning. This will give you an all over even colour, and make it easier for you to build a tan. You kinda have to be dark to get dark! I know it's not fair, I'm white white too! Make sure you use sun screen, even just spf 4 helps. Don't burn, that is bad for your skin. I lie out every day for about 30 mins, and I have a nice colour. You can lie out longer, but not for more than 2 hours total. Be careful, and enjoy the summer!

Spray on tanning. There is no difference between the UV light in a bed and outdoors. Both are only safe in moderation, whereas you can spray spray spray all you want without harming your skin. I worked in a tanning salon, and speaking with professional experience I would NEVER consider tanning in a bed again. I now stick to artificial tans and/or natural sunlight with sunscreen. I believe tanning beds encourage people to tan more often than they would outdoors (for example, in the middle of December), leading to increased skin damage.

don't do a spray on tan unless you want to be orange i would go get tanning lotion called native tan with no SPF and lay out in the sun flipping over about every 30 Min's and just keep doing this and you should have a dark tan

If you just want to be tan for a few days you can try the spray on Mystic tan. For something more lasting, you can go into a tanning bed.

They have many great sun-less tan creams out on the market now. Some work slowly till you get the right tone, others are much faster.
Don't go out in the sunshine to get bronzed. May look good now, but when you are over 30 yrs old, you skin will look wrinkled and nasty. Also high skin cancer risks.

I imagine mystic tanning is your best option since that doesn't require you to be exposed to UV rays.
