yes but if you unplug it u cant connect to the internet while using ur pc once u plug it back in u can i had my dslmodem off for 2 weeks ad it worked still just as long as u dont gfet cutt off

the connection is going to be lost all the time it is unplugged, and will be back up a few seconds after you replug it

yes, you can unplug but you will be unable to use the internet and will not lose service unless you cut it by calling your service provider.
