LeBron and Kobe for sure.... You need Kobe for a scoring leader and his great defense, plus he can take over when needed... You need LeBron cause he is Mr. All Purpose, and he can be Kobe's partner in crime.

I would take Dirk Nowitzki, LeBron James, Shaquille O'neal, Tracy McGrady, and Kevin Garnett. I would take Dirk because for his position he can do a lotta things, such as shoot threes, handle the ball, and be a great free throw shooter, to me he is a great all-round player and he could do what ever he wanted. I would take Lebron because he is so young and gifted with the ball he has a lotta talent for a guy at his positon and he is also the All-Star MVP! Shaq, because he is 100% solid steel and it would take a lot to get past him and with him on your team you would be guarrenteed to have higher defensive ratings! Tracy McGrady, well, wow he is just straight up all baller, I mean he dunked over 7 foot 6 shawn Bradley and he is a highflyer and super talented for a SG. And I would take KG because he is a silent assasin and he can do so much for a team, that nobody notices! I would positon the players in the following:
C-Shaquile O'neal
PF-Kevin Garnett
SF-Dirk Nowitzki
SG-Tracy McGrady
PG-LeBron James
That team would be prepared for a championship! And for my reserves I would have Steve Nash, Pau Gasol, Peja Stojakavic, Devin Harris, Joakim Noah (he is still in college but I guarentee you he will be in the pros) Udonsi Haslem, TayShaun Prince and Rasheed Wallece! Now thats a team!!!

easy, i would choose
dwayne wade
kobe bryant
shaq
kevin garnett
tmac
why u may ask, kobe is no doub the best player in the nba so he would teach wade some defence. shaq and wade + shaq and kobe = shaq +wade + kobe = ownage. kevin garnett would put some scoring down low and help shaq on the defensive end. shaq- no question at all, he can score and play some defense and bring the crowd to the game. Tmac would be abel to move without the ball and make shots

Guys, cmon ,we are starting a franchise and not planning an allstar game, there is such thing as a sallary cap.Besides, with all those players, you'd be bankrupt before the season ends.
Id get Kobe and James as my franchise players. Starting line up:PG-James SG-Kobe SF-Q.Richardson(outside threat) PF-Kevin Garnett C-Mihm Bench:Smush,Grant Hill(Veteran Leadership),K.Brown,Dalembert(rebounding,defense), Padgett(outside threat),Draft pick,Draft Pick..

Dwayne Wade. He's going to win the NBA championship all by himself and is on a tear and the next major superstar.
LeBron James because he continues to perfect his game and is the dude.
Steve Nash because he squirts through defense and is gutsy.

Kobe Bryant. I want someone who can score. Kobe is actually the only guy I've seen teams routinely triple team him.

If I could pick a player in his prime, I would start with a center. I would go with Wilt Chamberlain or Kareem.
