The girl above had it right - 12 or 14. Remember, the bigger then number the smaller the gauge.
You should also try to buy only internally threaded barbells. That means the ball screws INTO the bar. It is a lot easy for balls that screw over the bar to come loose. That's what I've read anyway and I've always purchased internally threaded barbells and have NEVER had a problem with them coming loose.
