i think if a network news or national news broadcast would expose them or do a piece on it that it would really cut it down. it's getting to where you have no idea whether you are going to get a legitimate product or some overseas illegal bootleg copy......which would make you look really cheap to give as a gift. lol

The only way to help eliminate the bootleg DVD, CD's Etc on ebay is to report the item being sold Near the bottom of the page there is a "What else can you do?" section There is a link that reads "report item" Send in your complaint and reason why it should not be for sale on ebay and they will investigate If they feel it is and illegal item they will stop the auction

I don't know if this is still true, and I don't know if it applies to dvds, but bootlegging is not illegal in most of the rest of the world, so if a disc is an "import" is may not technically be an illegal bootleg.

The glorious thing about e-Bay is that they are lawfully not responsible for anything that goes on. They supply the server/platform and whatever goes on is the liability of the clients. If any branch of law enforcement cared about this transaction, they could prosecute the seller and the buyer.
