Call Ipod tech support and tell them it was stolen ask them the let you know if anyone calls in for help with your serial number. Report it to your home owners insurance it might be covered.

Sorry, Charlie. A serial # would only be of use if you knew who took it. This may, one day, work for cell phones because the serial is used to make a specific connection between your receiver/tranceiver (phone) and your communications service provider. There has been discussion, recently, of fitting i-pods with tracking chips for the purpose of recovering them in case of theft but it was deemed too expensive to be practical.

Oh, that must suck. Sorry, I don't know how. But you might want to check out www.itunes.com, or look it up in gogle or yahoo. Or you can go to a bookstore and find a handbook...I remember reading in it once about what to do if someone stole it or lost it.
Oh and Caprikorn, whats yor problem? I know if I lost something that expensive I'D want to find it.

My cd player got stolen out of my car and the cops didn't do sh*t....just count your losses and move on. Ooh! An I-pod, it's not the end of the world.

dang i feel sry for u maybe call were u purchased it and at least try to get it back that way. ya my purse got stolen and it had a nice cam in it and the car place didnt do crap and well it was in another state so yea
