Call Pinkerton or Brinks or Wells Fargo and ask the receptionist. Tell her you are writing a school paper and need to know.
I will tell you this, most of them do not pay those folks enough for the dangerous job they do.

Call up one of the companies you want work for... ask for the salary range and tell them why you want to know. You can also try your local librian... Good luck.
