I saved both of my brothers lives when I was a kid, once my brother chris was in a pool, and started having problems swimming and no one else was there apart from one stupid woman who did not know what to do! So I jumped in and saved him, the next time I was going past his bedroom and heard strange noises, and went back to have a look, he was on floor struggling to breath I ran and got parents - turned out he was having his first asthma attack and was rushed to hospital, where he actually stopped breathing for a minute(they said he was actually clinically dead), left any longer and he would have died :( And then there is my kid brother James (major clutz!) Who I saved him within an inch of his life when he was 5 years old running out into a main high street!! They are both well and healthy at 29 and 23! lol Hope it stays that way!

Yes, I have three times,
Once when my son swallowed a bangle
and stopped breathing and turned blue
I turned him up side down and slapped
his back so hard that the bangle came halve way
down his throat i stuck my fingers down his throat
and pulled the bangle out he started to choke a bit
but then he was alright after a while, thank god.
Second time i saved a little girl who ran between two
cars into a busy main road, while her mum was to busy
trying to stop a bus at a bus stop.
Third time i saw a car on fire with two kids inside it,
while their stupid father was trying to stop the fire
i saw the kids inside the car and quickly dragged them
out through the back door.

I was in a mall with my mom and she wanted to go on the escalator and I was like "no, lets take the elevator." About 30 seconds later we hear a HUGE crash and a massive bookcase had fallen on the escalator exactly where both of us would have been.

It was really unstable according to a guy we saw up on the next level and the railing went about 1/5 of the way up the thing. It's also thought that a young kid pushed it but then ran away scared.

When I was a lifeguard I think that I may have actually saved one or two the rest were just drinking pool water. When I was about 10 my brother ate this entire sandwich at once on a bet and was choking and turning purple so I put the Heimlich maneuver on him.

This is a bit gross, but a young lad came off his motorbike in front of us, it was pretty nasty and bloody as he was only wearing shorts and a t-shirt - he had a huge chunk of his upper leg missing, my boyfriend ran for a nearby phone box (this was before mobiles) and I realised he was going to bleed to death as his main artery in his leg has been damaged, blood was literally squirting out in great big squirts, so I stuck my hand in his wound and kept pressure on him until the ambulance got there. He lost a lot of blood, but thankfully lived.

It scared the crap out of me at the time and I went to hospital in shock, covered in blood, but Im proud of what I did, Im not medically trained and should probably have thought about HIV and things, but it really was a life and death situation and I just reacted.

I guess I sort of saved someone once. I was in a hotel pool, it was really crowded, and I accidentally stepped on a child. When I looked in the water, I realized I had just stepped on a drowning child. He was choking on a hot dog. Fortunately, someone knew how to rescue him. all i knew how to do was scream for help.

I saved my grandpa's life. I had to give him CPR. I also saved the mans life that crashed into my car by flagging down a bread truck and he called 911. The man would of died otherwise.

I saved my brother's life when he was a baby. His carriage went rolling down the hill after my mother collapsed while walking and I went running after it. I barely got to it in time. I was 5 at the time I believe. In return my brother saved our whole family's life by alerting us to a fire in the kitchen when he was 7.

When I was a kid and visiting someone's home with a pool I fell in and the kid that lived there saved me. That kid was really strange and we used to make fun of him and the way he would jump around and flap his wings like a chicken. Maybe if he knew the way we would think of him later he would have let me die in his pool?
