Oh I agree with "pinstripes" that the referee was very fair... and that is why the French lost, LOL !! And with the regards to the fact that France never did anything since "winning " the '98 World Cup, well, doesn't that suport my contention that the fianl of '98 was fixed and that Brazil should have won ? LOL !! Do you remember the Brazilian players were refusing in the last minute to come out and play the final ? Any ideas why ?? The french players were waiting on the field. Any ideas why ??

I think that is outrageous. Of course its understandable. You do support a tem who has never won anything and who will not win anything this year too. Beside what makes you think that Portugal would have won EURO in 2000 even if they reached the finals ? Italy were a much better team. Face it man winning is not a portuguese thing greece will prove that !!!

The French team of Late 90's was the best european side of recent times. They conceded a record 2 goals in 7 matches in WC '98. Scored a healthy 15 goals. They deservingly won in 98. It was Brazil's worst ever performance in any WC. Brazil didnt deserve to win. But after EURO 2000, most of the players aged so the team could not perform well.

Signed-- An Italian Fan who is still aggreived at the penalty loss to France in '98 Quarter finals, even more aggreived at last minute loss in EURO 2000 finals. But who knows France was a better team, & they deserved it.

France, since winning the World Cup in 1998....they've not performed well, went out in the first round in World Cup 2002 and lost to Greece in the quarterfinals of the Euro 2004 competition...they've not won a World Cup match since the final in 1998...
They do have players like Henry, Zidane, Vieira, Thuram...
Think they didn't keep up their levels for the entire game and the Koreans took advantage...

oh i know- korean players were falling to the left and to the right, but not a lot of fouls were granted. i do believe that the referee was very fair throughout the game, however

the koreans played badly in the first half
france got tired by the second
koreans played well in the second
= tie!

I watched the match, but am not profient with soccer rules and history. I still will watch and enjoy the games. My son used to play in high school and I liked to watch it then too. Hope it all works out to be OK and fair or at least decent. Good luck with your Portugal team. By the way, I love Portugal and their language(don't speak it, but like its sound). Would love to visit your country one day.
