I have a 3rd gen Ipod (40G), and would like to charge it at home. I bought an adapter and a USB cord. When I plug it into the wall and my Ipod, the Ipod freezes and it does not charge. What am I doing wrong?

Plug the wall adapter into another electrical outlet in your house/room. If it charges okay, there maybe something wrong (wiring) with the outlet you had it plugged into...

If you know someone else who has a USB cable and wall adapter, ask to borrow them to test them on your iPod. If it charges fine when it is connected to your iPod, then it means something is wrong with either the USB cable and/or wall adapter you purchased.

Good luck...

why dont u just plug it in the computer....it works just as good....sometimes my ipod does that too but its best to leave it hooked up in ur computer.....cuz if u download a new song or something it just gets updated by it self.....

Did you buy an original charger? If not... that could be the problem!
