You can get pregnant while you are on your period. It is always safe to take precautions and use protection.As long as there is an egg to fertilize you can get pregnant. Another thing to take into consideration is the fact the sperm can stay alive inside your body for many days and you could ovulate while they are still alive. It is never safe to risk it. If you do not want to get pregnant it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Yes because you can still ovulate (release an egg) during your period. Sperm can live up to five days(I think) If I remember correctly. USE PROTECTION no matter what. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Having sex when ur on ur period also increases the risk of getting the HPV virus.

It is possible but not likely. During menstruation your body is saying that the egg was not fertilized and it is getting rid of it. I would still take caution and use a condom.

Is it worth it to think that you can't and be WRONG?
Biologically, no. The egg needs to attach to the wall of the Uterus and the blood flow should flush it out, but I wouldn't take the chance.
