i don't think there are any wild peacock's out there in the woods here in ohio. i would call a zoo and ask them for advice.

Yes, they must be housed in a structure similar to a chicken coop. In the winter, they must stay inside,24 hrs. a day,7 days a week. The coop must be heated, either by central heating, or by the use of well maintained, properly installed, space heaters. Also, someone must remain on site,24/7. Additional information may be obtained from Ohio's Fish and Game Department, as to all the necessary requirements for your state.

Yes, I've seen them raised as far north as Kankakee, IL. Kankakee is up by Chicago. You'll just need to make sure you have housing for them in the winter such as a chicken house.
