You know how people are and there is no way you are going to get imported rum without paying some type of tarriff. You should also check into the fact that you may need a customs broker in order for you to get it into the USA. You should also check to make sure that where your rum is coming from that you are allowed to trade with this country. By all means make sure that you keep all bills regarding the rum if you decide to import. This is very important on importing anything into the united states because you don't want it to come back later and bite you for some simple mistake. If you keep all paper work,you will not have a problem in case you have to explain it to someone in the future.
