You will only be able to find jobs around your neighborhood.
Ask around your house and people at school if they need help. the only thing I was able to do when I was 13 was cut grass for money and I did that for my neighbors.

Have your parents ask around and see if they could find someone that has a lot of kids, pets, etc. or needs some small jobs done that they don't want to do. You can get good jobs from reliable people that way. Flyers might work, but you never know what kind of person you are working for. (An example of this would be if you got to a house and found you were babysitting for several kids, one of which was your same age. That happened to a friend of mine. XD)

P.S. Thomas B, get a life. XD
P.P.S. I always take care of my cousins and watch the pets of people who live around here. I've taken care of older dogs, younger dogs, cats, turtles, and fish. Also, try to set your price per hour to a reasonable amount (so that it seems like a bargain) so that you will get called back more.

Make a flyer for all the services you can provide and hang them ON your neighbor's mailboxes. (Do not put the flyers IN mailboxes; mailboxes are owned by the U.S. Postal Service and it's against the law to open anyone's but your own).

Also, make a list of all the people you know with young children and call them personally to offer your services as a babysitter. My mom taught me that when you call them, you say..."Hi, Mrs. Smith, this is Mary Jones and I was calling to let you know that I received my certification in babysitting this year and that I am free to babysit for you this weekend. Can I do that for you?" (At this point, it's MOST IMPORTANT to be quiet and let the person answer your question). This way, you have not only let the person know that you are "certified", but also, when you are available, so when you ask "Can I do that for you?", if the person has not planned to go out, they might, knowing you're available. Then, once you start babysitting for them, you can offer your other services to them, such as dog walking, etc.

First, You are 13, so I would try to babysit for someone that you know starting with relatives first; then, if you do not get enough work send out a flier around the neighborhood and the surrounding areas saying that you will babysit. Second, I would try to find miscellaneous jobs like cleaning a friends moms house or backyard pool or something for cash. These are just some of the things that I did when I was 13

Try the newspapers, and try putting up ads in your area like: grocery stores , and such; Make sure the ad is large enough to notice from standing off far . Also you might want to ask you mom and dad to put a word for you,on their job and that way when they call your home your mom and dad can check the job out and see if it would be good for you . It never fails to have mom and dad help always in everything you do. Good luck. !!

Ask your parents to put an ad in the local paper for you. Put up a flyer near the community mailboxes, or other community gathering place (store, library). Make sure you know the basics before you babysit. Take a babysitting course at your YMCA. Good Luck!

At the age of thirteen, I had a summer job with Richmond Publlic School Systems as a teachers' assistant. If you know any teachers who will be teaching summer school, you can get one of them to get you a summer job if you are dedicated to working and willing to sacrifice your summer days teaching and helping kids who need the extra boost.
You could alsobabysit in you neighborhood or for some friends that you know have trouble keeping their kids so that they can go to work. There are a lot of hustles out here.. you just have to use your head.. everything doesn't involve flaunting your body...

Good luck.. let me know how it turns out...

Local newspapers in my area are always looking for young ppl to give jobs selling chocolate bars and newspaper delivery. You could also volunteer at the local SPCA to walk dogs.

Check with your neighbours for lawn cutting, dog walking, yard work, car washing, opportunities.

you could also try a paper route or a lawn and garden care service for your neighbors!! All depends on what you like to do. Then advertise. Try the bulletin boards in schools and super markets ... anywhere close to home!

Look up your local City Hall and see if they have a division for Youth Employment. That is how I got started when I was your age. And good for you for being ambitious. That is totally great! Kudos Baby!
