Text messaging, IM, chat rooms - yes they have caused a declilne in spelling and grammar. What can be done? In school: Expect more from students. Improperly written work should not be accepted. At home: parents have to set the standard. In the workplace: It will die a slow death when business begins to decline along with grammar and spelling. Most people would not want to do business with a company that sends out letters with errors in spelling and grammar. It all comes down to how much "society" is willing to accept.

Schools all over the worlds are facing the same problem. I don't live in the US and all the kids over here use Internet language even when writing essays and schoolwork!

i guess it depends on the person..

back when i was in high school, my civics teacher use to talk to me about using 'cuz' instead of 'because' on papers that id write lol

if im writing something, a letter or anything, i use propper grammar, and good punctuation. but on here, i just write like this cause its easier.

The internet and texting. I heard the other day they don't even teach handwriting to children anymore. How will they sign their names?
