It keeps them from getting eliminated from the World Cup and besides the USA sucks in soccer.

I watched the game and it was awesome...The US did a comparable good job for playing Italy. I actually thought Italy's gonna win the game, but well...Zaccardo's foot didn't do what he wanted, so they went off the field with a standoff...the two red cards were totally justified on both sides...soccer is a fairplay game and those fouls weren't fair at all...I think the US team was either leaving proud nor disappointed, they're still in the game and if they improve again (like they did after playing the Czechs) they even might have a chance to get into the next round....I'm for Germany though!!!!!! ;)

Yeah the USA in 2 games hasnt scored a goal, that was totally luck that an Italian accidentally scored for them, the USA needs to quit soccer and do what only they do like football because theres no outside competition, if you let them play rugby players they would get broken in half

I disagree, they played a marvelous game. Don’t forget that they played with 9 players. They executed the plan 100%... they managed to stop the Italians from playing the overhead passes which they are good at. The Italians have a good long history in the WC… and to snatch a point from them is a great thing. They made their group as the toughest and most interesting group to watch because until today each team has a chance to advance to the next round. They made a history and they deserve a standing ovation.

For the guy who said they scored !!!! Did you watch the game ?? The reason they got the tie is because a member of the Italian team scored on his own net !!!!!!!!! do you know why their ranked number 5 ??Obviously not the ranking is only done with North AMerican teams !!! and thats how they are brought up so high !!! go back to watching the NFL !

They did score. A point's a point. And they played a great game. Did you even watch the game? They worked their butts off with only 9 men aganist 10 for almost a whole entire half. I think they did great. Plus they were ranked 5th in the world. So they're pretty darn good.

Italy is a tough team and the U.S even expected their team to loose, but gettin' a draw and especially after the two red cards that's incredible. and even the fact that their team has a chance to advance.

false...they tied 1-1, meaning they scored. Secondly, it puts them in position to move on. The press is proud of them for tying a very good team who was heavily favored, but why do you blame this on the U.S. soccer team??? Look more closely and you will see that it is the press that you are hearing...

because with that tie they can still move on to the next round. if they lost they would have basically(definately) been ko'ed. ghana won so they still have on more chance of going on. the funny thing is that an american player hasn't even scored a goal yet and they won't beat ghana. so they will be out this round.
