2. Would england do alot better if they put crouch ion as a sub with owen and rooney starting?? ( i think so- crouch worries the other teams and causes hassle to their defense)

I agree Argentina are looking the goods. Better than Brazil at present. As for the starting line up and subs for England you can only go with what you think will be effective against the side you are playing that day. Wilcott may get a run but I think it will be late into the game and more likely only if England are in control.

Bill, being a woman she is probably organised and has her housework completed and has plenty of time to ponder what sport you would have to watch if we didn't give birth to those who play this "man's game". You get your opinion out there girl..good for you!

Nobody talked of Argentina. all eyes were only on England, Brazil, Germany and France. but now they have made a strong come back. I agree with u they are a mile higher than the other teams. they have set a new record this world cup for beating a team six goals in a match. right now they have a total of 8 goals followed by Germany and Ecuador both with 5 goals. their tactics have improved and their passes are even more accurate.
England so far are not in a bad position cause it's a guarantee they have qualified for the second round. but I think no one is yet satisfied. their fans expected them to score more goals and win so easily. with Rooney and Owen coordination, i think England will do great. In my opinion the coach wants Rooney to start so that if anything happen with his injury wilcott will replace him immediately. wilcot is a good player, but if u watched their last game they played better when Rooney went in. he is still young and has more time to prove himself to the fans that he is good.

1. I agree, the Argies do look good.
2. I guess it depends on how good Rooney's ankle REALLY is. Sven may wish to use him as a sub until the later stages. Although here's a report on the World Cup website saying Rooney will start the Sweden game. Crouch's height is useful if England need it when a game is tight.
3. I doubt if Sven will use Walcott. He's only there for the experience.

Think England plays best with Rooney. Between Owen or Crouch, the most fit player should play and by the looks of the past games, Owen's not up to the mark.
Don't think Eriksson will use Walcott...

Totally agree with you,
1) Argentinians are the best looking team with no caparison so far.
2)The reason they use him is his height, actually he's too skinny, too weak, too slow, wasted too many score chances. You're right ,Rooney and Owen can destroy any defences, scare any top goolies, weaken any offence from the other team.
3)He should ,he will and he has to use Wilcott,if he has no confidence on this young man,why he picked him into the team?
