Some people are referring to the spanish translation. The word I am looking for might not be spelled chistoso, but sounds like that spelled out. It is definately in Portugese as I have only heard Brazilians say it.

I`m Brazilian, and this is the closest I word I could guess...

chistoso is a common latin root word conjugated into several versions in european countries meaning funny in the slang

well, in spanish it means "funny" or "silly"... something you can laugh about
spanish and portuguese are very similar languages
