I think the best name for any baby is one that has meaning to the parents and will not embarrass the child as it grows up. My husband and I decided on a meaning first, then searched for a name that fitted. We also looked at names of a certain origin to honour my husbands family and used my sisters name as a middle name....
As you asked for good names though, this is just my opinion, but here are some I like:

Calista - most beautiful one
Angelique - 'The angelic one'
Lillian - From the name Elizabeth, meaning consecrated to God.

They are my top three favourite, but there are plently more on the link below

like others have suggested, i also think names w/ a significant meaning to you are best, vs. the name of a place, for example. i've named 5 babies of my own, and sometimes the standard names just dont do. i chose names w/ meaning that i felt were unique, yet not too far out there. as far as girl's names are concerned, i made up the name Cabrea for my firstborn daughter, (pronounced kah-bray-ah) and did a variation on the name Mallory--- hers is spelled Mallorey, and pronounced mal-o-ray. This is a special name for me, because i lost her shortly after delivery. she was followed by Noel Dove ( was supposed to be a christmas baby but came in august.) Riley Olivia, and Bella Emilyse. Emilyse is a name i made up from three different names; Annalise, Elise, and my mother's and 2 grandmothers' names, Emily.
