I hate what doing anything that involves phones and "kissing ***". I want to get my hands dirty and feel like I've accomplished something good. I want to be the bearer of good news for a change. I've been on Idealist.org and volunteermatch.com also looking on hotjobs and monster, but either the jobs are admin/office related (which I hate) or have requirements I cannot meet (like having an MSW). But my experience is largely admin. Any ideas?

How about looking for something in the medical field?
You might want to start looking at phlebotomy jobs (blood work) or working in the blood donor center. From then on, after you gain experience, you could move up. These 2 jobs are usually willing to train applicants if you show you're enthusiastic about it.
I think dealing with people and being able to comfort patients is a great job. I love it.
Good luck!

I'm not sure there is any such thing as volunteering for a living. You can most likely find an admin job, in some sort of manufacturer just to get yourself in there - then, ask about extra help or learning about the company in that way, it just might get you a new career.
