I would like to know about repair history, what I should get checked out, etc. The steering wheel shakes at 60 mph...what does this mean?

I checked it out on CarFax, and nothing was ever reported wrong with it. I will get the alignment checked out, but I hear that the transmission isn't the best on this car after 100,000 miles? Mine has 94,000 on it currently.

Have the tires checked for wear patterns. Replace as needed. Be sure to align and balance the front end. Rarely balancing back tires is needed but it's a good idea for race cars or high speeds. It will cost about $80 to balance all four and align the tires with rotation, the proper tire pressure adjustment all around. Check tire pressure weekly, wear patterns monthly and rotate tires as recommended by the tire service company. Always match the same make and size of all four tires. Don't let them sell you off brands.

You need a wheel alignment. Honda's and Toyota's are the most stolen vehicles, prevent theft. You can check out CarFax for a record on the car; accidents, etc.

check carfax, although it's probably too late now....if the steering shakes at 60 mph, check the alignment of the wheels, tire wear and linkage. Sounds like you got more than you bargained for.
Good luck.

You've got nothing to worry about, i have the same year accord but EX-V6. The steering wheel shakes because you have to do Balance and rotation on your tires or might even have to get new ones. I personally love this car, i mean the things it has and are so easy to use, but the most thing i like in my V6 is the torque.

Had Accord 2000 and my friend still has Accord '99.
Mine had 50,000 when I sold it didn't have any problems at all but my friend had to replace the transmission after 80,000 miles now her car has 106,000 no major repairs(besides getting new front brakes). Good economy car but I guess they are right about transmission I heard about those problems before that's why I sold mine and got new 2004 Accord.

It means that the car is unbalanced or need alignment for frontal wheels... Check also the actual conditions of each wheel, maybe they show deformations. If this problem persists, check with an specialist and replace...

Huh Yeah! Did you run a "Car Fax" report? This is critical. Check it out on the web, it's free for a basic history check.

I had the same problem, I would get the tires aligned.
Even if that dose fix the problem. I would pay the $20 and get a report from www.carfax.com
