You really need to know your travel dates, that will dictate your price. Can not provide exact details until you know your dates. Booking 30 days in advanced will give you the best options. You actually have 3 airports you can use. You can fly non-stop from San Francisco on American or fly from San Jose or Oakland and connect somewhere depending on the airline you use. On average you are looking a minimum base price of $300 and up round trip, closer to $350. Try to book a non-stop flight from San Fran if you can get there easily. Non-stop flights are always better because, for one, they are faster and less of a chance of getting delayed along the way or your bags being delayed. Southwest services Oakland and San Jose, but you are looking at 1 or 2 stops along the way, you dont get pre-assigned seating and one-way's are $150 each if you act in time to get it. So, base price before taxes is $300. Like I was saying earlier, dont sacrifice price for non-stop if you can help it. Saving $50 and having to stop one or two times isnt worth it. You lose a lot of time that way.

IM me at southrntrnzplnt and I can help you further once you narrow down your dates. I worked for a major airline and know the routes of the others and your best options for time and money.

I used Expedia.com and Orbitz, with Oakland airport as your starting point. I didn't see any non-stop flights, just ones with one stop or two stops.

Average price for one stop is about $350 with America West, United, Continental, and US Airways. American Airlines was $427.

Orbitz.com had cheaper flights, with a little over $300 for a flight with one stop.
