When I was much younger, I'd collect old coins I'd find in everyday change. Before that, I'd collect old "Civil War cards" with battle scenes, kinda like baseball card size stuff. But they're all gone now, for one reason or another, and now that I'm prematurely retired, I "collect" hummingbirds that come to my feeders and nest all around my house, and regular birds like Cardinals and Sparrows and Blue Jays, etc., that live in the forest around my house, and the rabbits living around here, and whatever other animals I can feed and make their lives more comfortable and rewarding. And I collect dust, like some of your other responders say. I never noticed how much dust collects so fast, and now that I'm retired I can't run from it by going to work or school. Oh well, most of my "collections" are rewarding. The dust sure sucks. God Bless you.

i use to keep all the letter that friends n i would pass back n forth during school, over time n all my moves theyve disappered. now i collect just about everything that is given to me. i keep cards n do crafts with them, i keep art work that my kids do, they get hung up all over the freakin house n when they do get taken down most i can not part with so they get stuffed into a box of photo album somewhere. i collect scraps of material because someday you know i am going to learn to sew really well and make quilts. i could go on and on about all the things i collect but i think you get the point. i use to collect baseball cards also but i only kept the ones of the players that i thot were cute. my bro loved trading cards with me.

I collect OLD items. Some people would say antiques but I think that's pretentious. I collect them for the aesthetic value. And most of my things are NOTfurniture. I have a popcorn popper that was my grandmothers that is so cool.

Small carved elephants on my travels. I pick the top 12 and use them as an African Calendar (you put them in a single file march and depending on the month, that # in the row is turned around).
