all the messages in my inbox are flagged. are they still safe?

You can flag emails for a number of reasons: high priority, soon to be deleted, or even 'unread'. The messages are probably safe, but as always, never open email from someone you don't know unless you're expecting it.

If you're using Microsoft Outlook (and possibly Outlook Express) there's an option to flag a message for follow-up. Try right-clicking on the message and selecting "Clear Flag" to see if that does the trick. If it does, selecting all the messages in your inbox and performing the same action should clear all of them.

yahoo email is the same as outlook express, you can clear the flags by selecting them and then selecting remove flag.
If they were flagged and you did not flag them then that would most likely be your virus software.

It means that the person sending it, thinks that it is Important.
