pple are sayin when the pope thats isz rite now dies there are goin to put a black pope in and then the devil is goin to come and put marks on everyones hand and everone is goin to think thats god becuse the devil is goin to make a meter come down and hesz goin to destroy it so that everbody thinksz that is god

Some people have interpreted the ancient Mayan calendar in such a way that they believe 2012 is going to be the end of the world. In reality, the calendar implies the end of one of a series of "creations", or incarnations, of worlds.
The year 2012 is questionable, too. Depending how you read the numbers, you can round out to 2012... but they didn't appear to mean that. They may well have intended a date so far off in the future that we can't even calculate it.
And last but not least, there's no reason to believe the Mayans really had any better idea when the world was going to end than anyone else. In short, don't lose any sleep over it. ;)

No. It's already ended.
On 12-21-2012, there will be a new beginning. The sun rises against the Milky Way signifying the dawn of a new world age which will last 26,000 years until that alignment comes around again.

This is a abstract question which has multiple approaches. If you believe in supernatural then "God" and the "Devil" are 1. If you are human then the truth is we control our own destiny, and as we attempt to destroy the world on a daily basis, we have still failed to do so. Therefore it would seem that the only thing to end will be some peoples lives and for them yes the world will end. As for some of us the world will not.

I believe that we are in the end times. All the prophesies have come to pass, indicating that Jesus is coming soon to get those who are saved.
The world is in turmoil.
People are so far from righteousnes and redemption.
The Bible speaks about the mark of the beast(devil)..if you don't take this mark you wont be able to buy or sell....This reminds me of how we are moving rapidly towards a cashless society...I think this mark may be a microchip placed under our skin..kind of like an embedded debit card!
You are also right about the Devil when he comes to power...he will have abilities or powers never seen before to our generatons....he will fool many....Many will think he is the Messiah. It is so importnat for those here not to fall for this. It is far more important not to be here when this happens!

No-one knows. The Bible says only God the Father knows which day the Son Jesus will return. Not even Jesus himself. But this won't bring the end of the world but the beginning of a thousand year reign of Christ as king on Earth. After a thousand years there will be a new heaven and a new earth. The Bible also says...in Luke 17...verse 22..Jesus said to His disciples, ."The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. Men will tell you, "there He is!" or "Here He is! Do not go running after them. For the Son of Man in His day will be like lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. "

There have been people saying the world was going to end for whatever reason since the beginning of history. There are some fearful people who are going to spout all kinds of garbage. Just remember that a great many people don't even believe in a devil. I most people in this world are not Christians.

Noone knows when the world will end. God has it planned it that way. He will come in like a thief in the night which means we need to be ready. I believe we're entering the end times now because alot of the signs are already happening. So, if you don't know God, you need to get to know Him now. Time's awastin'!

My mom said the world would end before I graduated high school. That was in 1990. Sooooo... I would hazard a guess that the world will NOT end in 2012.
