So many choices. Basic black is the trick for the most formal situations: some sort of wingtip or oxford. To relax the look, the cordovan color (burgundy, oxblood) would be cool. For edginess something like the Converse Chuck Taylor in some outlandish color would work, or a pair of black combat boots or Doc Martens. For a formal but edgy look, try a spectator, a white shoe with black or brown trim. To make fun of the spectator look, wear the black and white checked Van's sneakers. It all just depends on the occasion and the intended effect.

Something snazzy!! Depends on where you're going. Somewhere extremely formal, black dress shoes. Somewhere more fun, converse all stars.
