The ones I don't have to see! I'm not to keen on them they look freaky! and as for crabs,they remind me of spiders, so I definitely avoid them!!

I would have to say it's the snapping shrimp (Alpheus heterochaelis; but there are other ones, too). They're these little shrimp with one big claw that they use to "snap." What they really do is make bubbles that pop, which sends out noise and light. They live in big colonies and when they all snap at the same time, they make a huge amount of noise. The first website below has an audio clip. So yeah, my favorite crustacean is the snapping shrimp. :o)

A japanese spider crab. Their leg span is 13 feet long (longest crustacean in the world, but suprisingly not the heaviest) and they've been spotted eating dead humans after they've scavenged them off the seabed that's under shipwrecks. So basically, it's crab-zilla.

bilateral gynandromorph - An extremely rare crab that has both male and female parts (Dual-sex crab). I believe that there is an exhibit in the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in Gloucester Point

Land hermit crabs. Really cool and entertaining to keep as pets. Some of them even make cricket-like sounds, supposedly. I had one that made those sounds.

Hermit crabs. I can watch them for hours. It's really cool when they change out shells for a bigger better one.
