i keep hearing how, if you put vaseline, or shampoo, or hand cream on your eyelashes, they will longer, is this true for some people, if so, what did you use?

NO! that is so bad for you! What you need to do is get a great mascara and eyelash curler! I, personally, hate fake eyelashes but I wanted to have longer eyelashes so I found this great product. It's called Natural Lash Extender from Natural Angel and its this lash extender that you put on in between coats of mascara. It's the best product in the world! It made my eyelashes sky high! There is no known remedy for truly lengthening your natural eyelashes. Remedies claiming to do so (if they have any affect at all) may actually cause damage to the eyelashes, lids and eye - making short eyelashes the least of your worries.
Safer cosmetic enhancers may give your eyelashes a longer look. Try visiting a cosmetologist for inexpensive but effective suggestions in makeup application or (in more extreme cases) false eyelashes.

I could see how those items you listed could help condition the lashes, but I wouldn't dare put them near my eyes. Anything not othomalogist tested could be risky in that area. Try a fortifying mascara instead and use a makeup remover every night. It'll build their strength and allow them to grow longer.

No, and you could blind yourself. If you want to make your eyelashes look longer, try mascara.

don't do that...use a coat of mascara, while it's still wet use the eyeshadow wand to go over lashes, with the powder then mascara again. do it a couple of times and you'll get the hang of how much to use.

no dont use that! - sometimes the chemicals will hurt your eyes. I use mascara - use revlon it makes them look 3 to 10 times thicker and natural
