Diana was the Roman name of the Greek Godes Artemis!
In Greek mythology, Artemis (Greek ÎÏÏεμιÏ) is the daughter of Zeus and Leto and the twin sister of Apollo.
In the Greek city of Ephesus, the Temple of Artemis became one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In Ephesus, and elsewhere in Asia Minor, she was worshipped primarily as an earth and fertility goddess, akin to Cybele, unlike in mainland Greece.
Statues in mainland Greece depict her with her bow and arrow. In the Greek cities of Asia Minor, she was often depicted with multiple rounded protuberances on her chest. They were formerly believed to be multiple breasts but are now thought by some to have represented bull testes!!

Not that Diana was an Amazon...but Amazon's used to cut off one breast so they can pull back on a bow easier (ouch) I'd rather be a lousy shot

She was also worshipped as the fertility goddess, which the many breasts symbolize.
Funny thing? In Hebrew, the name "El Shaddai" for G-d literally means "the many breasted G-d" & also refers to His nurturing & Motherly side.

Because she was a protector of children and symbolized "plenty".
And besides, her breasts aren't THAT big when compared to modern American models.
