"Are you experienced? Have you ever been experienced?" One of the great subtle puns of the last century!
I loved Jimi Hendrix, and get all teary-eyed watching his performance in the Woodstock movie.
But the term you used -- The Jimi Hendrix Experience -- sounds like you may be referring to a more recent imitator. I have seen advertisements of several other "memorial" shows, like one that is Led Zeppelin imitators, and I think there was a neo-Dead Head band, as well. I'm not sure how I feel about these "tribute" bands. Are they really tributes, or just cashing in on someone else's genius?

Yeah yeah , Jimi was good , blah blah. I often wonder what he would be doing today if he was still alive. Actually i wonder how many responses to this are gonna include the phrase "Wait! you mean he's dead?!". lol
