Do not go to retail / computer electronic sotres they'll rip you off.

Instead:

* Build one your self for 2 1/2 times less then the price in the stores.
* Go to Wal-Mart (yes evil) and get those cheap E-Machines
* Go to E-Machine's directly
* Go to Tiger Direct
* Go to a Pawn Shop
* Go to a Thrift Stor
* Go to your local landfill
* Or if you have anything like Duke Surplus then check that out too some city's have places that they resell stuff for dirt cheap
* Go to an auction either offline or online
* Go to FREEBEE give away places/adds/websites where they just want to get rid of the stuff

P.S. Be careful where ever you go, make sure it has the specs you want and NEED, alot of places like Dell/Gateway ripp ppl off and give ingorant consumers the minimum amount of RAM and then the pc owner complains that it's not going fast enough.

::: Peace :::

Go with a Dell. They are fine for the average user and are cheap. Going to a store will probably cost you too much or you'll get ripped off by buying something very cheap.
