If I block someone on my Yahoo Messenger, I know they will not be able to see me on Messenger, but will it block my presence on other sites? Like for instance, in their addresses, on other Yahoo associated sites? And if they try to IM me just thinking I am invisible, will they get any notification that I have blocked them or will their message just go into oblivion?

They won't know. When you block them while they're on you messenger list, Y! Messenger will notifiy you that you can't block someone on your messenger list.
And when your on their list, and you delete them off your list, they don't know that their not on your list anymore.
No they wont! They wont be notified they wont know a thing!

yes, they will get notification that you blocked them, do you know anything about stealth settings in yahoo messenger?its really great!!!

No. They dont come to know that they have been blocked.
