To ensure a smooth transition, set up a Living Trust, a legal entity that you and your children belong to. Then if you pass away, they are entitled to everything in the trust - including your YahooID and Password with all your points.

If you don't have a trust your estate can be caught up in legal battles, your kids fighting over your points... nasty. Plus the government will apply inheritance tax and take something like 40% of your points.

If we all don't protect our points, eventually the IRS will be the one with the most yahoo answers points - and they are terrible at giving answers!

Protect your points!

Put your password in your will. That way they can't have a free ride with your points until you are gone... Dang, you know how some kids are, they will suck you dry while you are still living.... I am glad you are thinking ahead on such an important item... :)
