We have two computers one my daughters and mine. Hers gets everything mine has no sound now. I don't understand why it quit. The voice chat says that another programs is using it. What program I have no idea? It just quit and I have tried using new speakers and they want work either. reboot the computer and try again. The sound driver is being overrun by a program that requires your full and immediate attention, but your not aware of it, so you can't close it or address it to stop it from hogging the sound, so close everything and start from scratch.
Unknown error means exactly that: unknown. probably a fault in the computer's ability to communicate with other computers. try again after reboot.
