Is there a statue of a man of that name or tribe near that of Mr Manhattan in or near Ellis Island,New York,U.S.A.?

The name of the tribe Amerish or Americ(c is pronounced as "s") spelt in Dutch seems to be the name America.When read, later by others, the "c" was wrongly pronounced as the sound "k".

Our country was named after a man named Amerigo Vespucci, an Italian explorer, because when what we now call the Americas were discovered, he was the first to call it a "new world. " I don't believe he has a statue, but it is possible.
