Jeez, looking at the answers here some of you took the question literally, lol.
It's just a r-a-n-d-o-m question.
If my "items" were irrelevant... how did man survive in prehistoric times?! That's what a brain is for, and from them (The Stone Age) we learn of fire, weapons, agriculture, etc.
Anyway thanks for your input.

I know, you're saying these are not individual things, but neither is a photo album (with pictures in it), and a journal would need a writing utensil...>)

Water purifiers so I won't have to drink salt water, matches to start fires, and a knife. All of those material items you listed would be of no use at all on an island.
