Why don`t you find new homes for some of them. I understand your love and dedication.
But (No offense) who is gonna take care of your babies after you are gone? You can run ads on http://dallas.craigslist.org/ and Yahoo has a pet recycle site as well. You can run free ads, as many as you want..
Please in the best interest of these animals.
It is important to find them a forever home, Before you fall out and the HUMANE Society or animal control folks come and put them all to *sleep* as they call it..
Let me say on behalf of those animals, . THANK YOU, You have been a good Dad. And just like ALL good Dad`s ya gotta let them grow up and move away..
God bless & hugs from Texas. {:-)

I think that it is one thing to have the capacity to have 200 pets, but often times people do not. I hope that you live on a great deal of acerage or have many small pets. I'm not trying to be mean, but you should be careful. Even if you are taking care of your animals correctly there are people who will call the humane society on you. . Someone once called the humane society because I had a very old horse with sway back and they thought we were just riding him too much.
I would say you first need to stop getting more animals. I would then see if friends or family would be willing to take an aminals. As a last resort I would take them to a shelter.

If your pets are specifically predominately feline you may have a disorder related to them. Somewhere on the web there is a record of a particular malady that is caused by a parisite that lives in the intestinal tract of a cat. Mice (rodents) given the problem will be attracted and unafraid of cats.
I can not imagine how much finances (income) time and energy 200 pets take unless they are all something like fish(or maybe an Ant Farm) I am actually praying you have not got 200 mamals unless you run a carefully maintained and staffed Zoo.
Please contact someone immediately for help if you love your pets and can not take care of them in a hygenic and loving way

I would suggest getting in contact with a rescue group you can trust. Right now they might be able to supply a volunteer to help with the care. Then they could help find good homes for some of your loved ones.
The important things is your age and the number of pets you have. I'm sure you know, that if something happens to you, and you don't have something in place that many of your pets won't have a happy ending.
If you can't find a rescue group, you might wish to check with the scouts. You might make a nice 'badge' project. ;-)
Starting now, while you have time, will insure that each one has a happy loving home.
BTW I have a funny feeling you have a nice assortment, 200 sounds like a lot, but if some are herps, fish and rodents the number can give a false illusion. I did notice you didn't say I have 200 cats & dogs. ;-)
Good luck!

I mean no offense, but at 200 pets you can no longer easily manage, you have crossed the line from animal lover to a person who needs counselling.
Collecting ANYTHING to a point that it is beyond your means or comfort level, but doing it anyway, suggests a psychological disorder that should be looked at.
Please be honest with yourself. They may offer you unconditional love, but can you offer each of them the care, love and respect they should be getting from their owner? At 200, if there is ANY illness, it will sweep through the group. Skin and respiratory problems are common in these settings, as well as fleas, ticks, and a wide variety of germs.
This is not healthy for either you or them.
Even if you do not seek counselling, seek help in caring for your pets. Surely organizations exist in your area that can help you find other homes for at least some of these pets?
I wish you the best- but again I suggest that seeking counselling will help deal with the other issues as well.

Ask friends and family if you have an animal that they love and would want. That way you know that they are in a good home and can visit them often. Also, try putting an ad in the newspaper for the most time consuming animals.

The local chinese will usually buy cats for $3-5. Dogs go for $8-15 depending on size. Let the birds fly away, take the fish to a local pond, eat the ducks and chickens, Purina will pick up the horses to make dog food, sell the cows, make winter clothing out of anything left that is furry.

Do you realize that this is a mental health problem?
I've never met any cat ladies that were sane.
I'm not one to talk though. I'm getting older too and I have 50+ antique cars and only one license.
If I ignore them for a few months they won't die. Well some of the batteries do.

I don't think it's fair to your pets to have that many. You can't show them true love because you spend so much time trying to take care of them. I suggest you find a home where they can get the attention and love they deserve. I admire your desire to save all the pets in the world but it's not fesible financially and you'll wear down soon, trust me.
