its not that wanting money is wrong, (as long as you stay in the will of God), it's when you'll do anything to get it or it becomes more important than anything in the world, to have it. when Jesus said that "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go to heave." (matthew 19: 16-26 )He said that because the rich man He had just spoken to, would rather have all of his riches than to help the poor and follow Jesus. Christ wants His people to have nice things, just don't let the things He's blessed you with become your God.

Think of all the children ignored by parents who, "have to work?'" I'm talking about those who are driving gas hogging SUVs, have enormous homes, two mortgages, designer clothes, have their little achievers enrolled in every possible sport/activity. And quality family time is sacrificed for the almighty dollar. Family values and time is NOT something that can be fixed later, with more MONEY. Those precious years are gone too quickly. And Keeping up with the Jones's had hit an all time high."
GOD has very distinct things that need to be instilled into our young ones. The LOVE of the MEAN GREEN, is not one of them.

You have paraphrased centuries of dialog into one statement ?? The basic thought here is the Biblical version of ---the Love of Money is the Root of all Evil---and simply put---the driving passion most usually associated with pure Love will drive people to do anything / compromise any moral or belief /go to any extent to achieve and / or commit any act to attain the thing---The cautionaries laid out be the world's gurus is one of warning to people to keep their passions within due bounds and to circumscribe their desires because not to do so will lead a person to sacrifice the most important thing of all in lilfe and that being their spiritual development and communication with the Creator ---Tao---etc---good question by the way----

Because money is the rout of all evil. That is also the reason for way woman are evil.
Women = Money * Time
Time = Money
Women = Money * Money = 2^Money
Since everybody knows since everybody knows that money is the rout of all evil;
Women = Evil
I hope nobody takes offence from this, it is only natural to laugh at the absurd and it is only the absurd that don’t laugh at them self.
Have a great day everybody!

Go to a different holy man. When they tell you that to love money above all else makes you a terrible person. That is if that love is for using it only on yourself

I think maybe it's what you do to get money and how you do it. Also money shouldn't be the most important thing in your life. There are a lot of people with a lot of money who are not terrible, they use it to make their life, their families life, and to help others. It's not the money.....it's the person with the money.

Money is a means of exchange. If you want lots of money as money, and not as a means to an end of charity, you ARE a terrible and greedy person. It's not the money itself; money is just paper. It's what it represents: power to obtain, greed, envy, all the big ones. Whereas, if someone wins the lottery and thanks whatever higher power that he has been given such money to do the right thing, they are not a terrible person.

Why in the parable of the talents was it better to make money than to bury it to keep it safe ? Why was it punishable not to make money out of it? I have always felt sorry for that poor guy who did not possess entrepreneurial skills. We are not all blessed with the ability to make more money out of what we have so what does God want from us. I am a believer by the way but the parable I refer to surely is the opposite of your question. Sorry to answer a question with a question.
