No, they hire knowledgeable people. Most knowledgeable people are brighter than average, but not necessarily geniuses. While they do hire people with at least Masters degrees in their subject, remember they also hire janitors, cooks, and laundry workers as well as scientists.

Absolutly NOT. Brains are required for the highly technical jobs, like over at mission control, astronaut, and other semi skilled work. Janitors and clean up crews won't need more than a high school education.

well, i guess they need some ppl to help with the maintainence of their facility; i.e. janitors :P ... so maybe they hire others who are not *smart* in the traditional academic sense :)
