Health Insurance does not exists for over 35 million Americans. Do you really think Congress whats no health care coverage for themselves?

I think the theory originally was that there needed to be some benefit to being a public servant, since the pay (without all the perks and slush funds) actually sucks pretty badly. However, that was before you had to be a billionare to get elected. If we went back to everyday folks representing us, we'd need those benefits again, but right now its kind of a joke.

Because "We, the People..." allow them to pass laws to enrich themselves without any accountability or justification. If you were a multi-millionaire and lived in a 90-room mansion, would you give the best rooms to your servants? No, you'd provide them with austere, modest, comfortable quarters, probably in the basement of your mansion. But, American taxpayers have allowed members of Congress to be treated like royalty instead of the public servants they're supposed to be. the regular system is too austere for the people who decide what we get so they give themselves more. it is that simple. they have the power so they do it. nobody stops them so they just steal.
It is unfair and a disgrace. i wish i was one of them
