Was thinkin about getting an lcd monitor for my computer, right now just have the regular big bulky one. What are the advantages and disadvantages to having an LCD monitor?

They are lighter to move around, they take up less space. The quality of picture/image is much better than that of a CRT monitor.
Before I purchased my LCD monitor, I was getting headaches a few hours after sitting at the computer. After I purchased my LCD, they went away. So LCD's help put less straining on the eyes.

Lcds are more for people who do word, excel, drawing, painting, typing. Mostly all business people own lcds becuase its efficient, uses less power, gives less heat instead of a Crt monitor and saves alot of desk space. one thing there expensive too. A crt that is 17 inch cost about $100 - $120 wheres as a LCD 17 inch costs $199 to $299
CRT monitor- Is bigger, brighter, and the must for Gamers. Crt is meant only for gaming on computers. Lcds dont have a really faster response time. a crt response time is quicker allowing better gaming and better performance.

Hey there, on lcd the image has better quality, and it gives off less radiation, but if you decide to get a lcd monitor buy warranty for it, because soemtimes pixels dies out and its impossible to fix that, soo the warranty will cover it!!!

An LCD monitor has much better picture quality; the colors are so vibrant.

Pro: They're smaller
picture is more clear
Con: Some LCD monitors use lots of power
Break easily

Well LCD is much better less space taker, good color,and last if taken care of proparly.
Dont touch the screen. I ve seen it so many times it makes me mad. Touch ing it can damage pixels and leave those white, red,green marks on the screen.

Disadvantage: cost
