Is it next to a little picture of an open jar or something?
it means after being open for 6 months you should throw it away. Kind of like a best before date. Make up doesn't last forever!

it probably said 6mL, which is the size.
depending on teh brand, teh more expensive ones 6m could indicate the brush size of teh mascara!
