download Anti Vir (or Advast, take your pick)

uinstall your Anit-Virus that you are using right now...

then install Anti Vir (or the other one)

Then update it's definitions by running the update thingy

Then you can start a scan, it should get rid of it.

If it doesn't try using the anti-spywear: Aadwear
just download it and install it and update it and then scan.

(sometimes these programs scan first, then update lets you update, but then you have to scan again with the new updates... it's sometimes anouying)

If all else fails, repair or redo your system... if you have to compleately redo it, wipe it clean by doing a full reformat and make sure you put your stuff in NTFS not FAT32

Norten is Evil stay away from it...

(this is all asuming that you have a recent version of windows, you didn't say what your specs was or anything)

LOL check it out! "oddball" sent you to a site that recondmends the softwear I just told you about... cool SEE. So go there, it looks like it takes you step by step. ;-)

It could be any solution from getting a better virus scanning program to the very extreme solution of having to reformat your hard drive and reinstall your operating system. I don't know what virus scanner you are using so I can't provide much help there.

get your computer on safe mode . . . I restarted my computer and then pressed F8 . . . once in safe mode, run a MCAFEE virus scan . . . it should locate the downloader trojan and get rid of it . . . then re-start your PC once again and it will be gone . . . try mcafee.com and their message boards for further info . . .
