No he won't be lucky because he will inherit the mess from this one...he has to be pushed into a war and once the republicans are out of office they will go on the attack against him blaming him for everything and acting like they never did anything to contribute to the problem....then the democrats will pretty much do the same if they lose so I hope a completely differnt party wins...Im sick of Dems and Republicans...why don't we all just try something completely differnt this next election.

No, because during the 2008 term a new president will have to deal with the end of most of the tax cuts that have caused the highest debt in history, and which will require tax increases to provide basic government services.
The next president will be left to resolve a war that Bush chose to pursue without support from most of the nations of the world, and that will have cost us trillions.
And what will happen to the Port of New Orleans? Medicare, Social Security, and the Prescription Drug benefit for the pharmaceutical companies?
How do you think a newly elected president will be able to remain popular, or even to keep his head above water after having to deal with the fiascoes of the current administration ?
I think you are mistaken about having to deal with the hate though. Nations that have been our friends understand, and we will experience a resurgence, as long as we have no more arrogant know-it-alls representing us.

Actually, I feel sorry for him. He's going to have the biggest mess for a new President to clean up. The economy to build up, forien relations to patch up, praying that it's not too late to help out with the environment, fixing the mess in Iraq, dealing with the nuclear problem with Iran without pissing off Iranian allies like China and Russia, reducing the national deficit, and who knows what other messes Bush will leave for the new guy.

What? And have two deal with two unfinished wars, and an almost trillion dollar a year deficit, and social security and Medicare falling apart as they baby boomers age? Oh, yeah, and the small problem of the world hating our ***.
Oh, yeah. What luck.
I wish the next president one hell of a lot of luck. They will need it.

Who knows. Someone could totally do a worse job. Look at James Buchanan after Franklin Pierce. Whenever someone thinks they've hit rock bottom, another person is always there to hand them a shovel.
