Yet another Bb (Bush basher)
Listen this is about changing the world for the better.
WE KNOW people like YOU don't understand it.
It's beyond your comprehension. It's like trying to tell a blind man what an elephant looks like.
If the Muslim people get a taste of democracy, You know freedom of Religion and innocent before proven guilty. All the things other people had to die for so YOU can have them.

I know what you want to hear so I'll give it to you.
Yeah WE are there just for the oil.
There thats what you wanted right????
How about this one.
Might makes right, IT'S OUR OIL. We should kill them all for that oil.

The price of oil was stagnant and if Iraq had been allowed to come online with her production, the price of oil would have dropped.

As it is, the invasion allowed Exxon Mobil (et al) to post record profits each quarter since the invasion began.

And, has allowed Exxon Mobil to continue earning record profits because the US allows the "insurgency" to continue as a reason to justify those unearned profits.

Saber rattling against Iran is a backup plan in case Iraq actually stabilizes.

War is good for Exxon Mobil. Can you imagine how many billions of barrels of oil they have sold just to the US government to keep the tanks & jeeps running? Not to mention all those airplanes flying back and forth and ships cruising around.

I have one, but not being a "Doofus Discipline", I'm not sure it counts: To stabilize the country so that its elected government isn't overrun by Baathists, terrorists or the like.

By the way, what is a "Doofus Discipline"? I know what discipline is, but that term stumps me. Perhaps you can enlighten us, Professor...

Here's a good reason. War is good for the economy (meaning, somebody is making money). Do I think it is a valid reason? Hell no. But thats the only reason I can think of. Other reasons are pretext in my book.

Good one. It's pathetic that we are letting decent young kids die for a war based on lies. Meanwhile, Osama Bin Laden is still out there plotting future attacks.
