I'm one of those guys who have a certain scent that mosquitos can't get enough of. Every year, I end up full of mosquito bites. I'm also a 24 year old guy who isn't that tidy. I have some spiderwebs on the ceiling. I was about to take them away, but I noticed they are filled with mosquitos, and I also noticed, I haven't woken up with mosquitos bites recently. I have to thank the spiders.

Would you leave the spiderwebs on your room ceiling?

I really hate killing spiders, and I try not to do it in general, but I want them to stay in their place and out of mine. If they're on the ceiling... well that gives me the creeps because once while I was napping, I was awakened when a spider fell (or jumped!) right on my face. I didn't have much of a problem wilth them before, but now if they come out of their corners I try to trap them and release them outside.

It's true that they're good for killing mosquitos and lots of other types of bugs that might fly or crawl into your house/apartment. I suppose finally I'd leave the spiderwebs there as long as they were nowhere near my bed or chair.

Whatever floats your boat really. You could also close all the access into the house at night. Mosquitos are attracted to light and the color blue (I forgot where I learned that). There are only two real spiders in the United States that are poisonous anyways, and their bites aren't enough to really kill you unless you have a weak immune system. Citronella anyone?

properly, this question effective generated distinctive solutions...and right here's one better - i do not prefer to kill some thing - i imagine killing for the sake of killing diminishes the killer. Like a pair of human beings that responded in the previous me, I actually have a puppy domicile spider. Spidey lived on my bathing room sink close to the chilly turn-on for a pair of months; he had a minimum internet, from which he hung the incorrect way up, and at the same time as he replaced into scared he'd conceal lower than the dobie (a teflon cleansing pad). We fed him gnats and fruit flies. My husband and that i debated as to if or no longer he replaced right into a black widow (similar structure, no longer as black). i began quite demanding about my cat noticing him and getting bitten, so I transferred him right into a critter keeper. It replaced right into a tacky field (not straight forward to get the lid on and stale, confusing to feed him); now, he's in a small vivarium with a sliding exhibit correct, containing a pretend 0.5-log, lower than which he's made an internet - looks extremely content cloth.

No...its kind of gross really. What i've looked into recently is a bug repellent bracelet. It's not anything girly, actually its very versatile (they're sold at Bed Bath and Beyond). You also don't know what kind of spiders are in your room and you could end up with bites worse than mosquito bites.

..... ew.
Um, clean your room, get screens for your windows, and don't keep your doors wide open, that should take care of the Mosquito problem.
Oh and get fly paper, they work for Mosquito's too

Yes, kill the spiders.

I don`t kill spiders because I don`t like flys. I live in Britain so we don`t get mosquito's, but I can see where you are going, and our reasons for not killing spiders are quite similar.
