I was thinking of going in a few months to visit a friend. Everything I've read so far says it's a nice city to visit. Any stories? ....And why do they have a street named after George Washinton?

Hi, Joe, I have many friends in Serbia. Great people, great country. Belgrade is not only nice city, it is a wonderful city. They have named a street G.Washington simply because they know the right way to valorize great people. I'm Macedonian and I know many things about because we lived many years alltogether. Well, as usual politics spoiled things and hope that'll never repeat again. Some bad people used critical years of changing socialist community to democracy to do what they had done already. Actually Yugoslavia was typical communist country for a short period. You can ask other East European countries people to prove it by comparing their experience with their earlier political systems. That can be the reason why Belgrade not became unformal capital of Balcans.
Nice speach, ha? :-))

I've been to Belgrade a lot of times, usually just for a day or a night since I live close. It's a big city with cool night life, lots of clubs and a lot of places to see and visit. Especially the old part of the town: Skadarlija, it's the soul of the town. I've been to Belgrade a lot of times, but didn't like it much, until I've been to Skadarlija and felt the real Belgrade spirit!
Don't know about that street though.

definite, i have been to Albania, i have visited lots of the southern cities and villages and clearly Tirana. i imagine that is a pleasing usa and also the each body is amazingly polite. I easily have in no way visited Montenegro, yet associates who've been there tell me that is amazing. So, what the different purchasers instructed you is nice, that is a good element that you attempt to promote your usa to overseas travellers yet you may want to not positioned different international locations down or make pretend comparisons.
