in the future, yes. he seems like he really does have potential to be a good leader. at the moment, i think it would be overwhelming to him. but he's got plenty of time.

Whether or not someone is experienced in government is irrelevant. President Zachary Taylor wasn't even registered to vote (didn't even vote in his own election)! Plenty of other presidents had little or no political experience, like Eisenhower or Grant, and they turned out alright. The truth is, the only way to find out if Obama will do a good job is to see him in office and judge in hindsight. There is no formula for a good v bad president, unfortunately.

YESSSSSS!! But there is a problem, not the fact he is "black", but the fact he does what he says, always. He is a person who believes in "someone Else's needs" are important, and having "morals and ethics" are essential in every ones life.Being a president would limit his ability to reach the ones he needs. "We need the good guys within reach". Great minds think alot.

He would be the first HONEST president... I would really prefer him over Hillary. I think we need to elect someone "outside the box" and not the same tired-***'d families and their friends over and over again...

No. Other than being black, I don't see anything particularly distinguishing about him.

In any event, he is too inexperienced. Maybe by 2012 he will have record enough to judge.

I think he is a promising politician, but he is too inexperienced. He's only been in the Senate for a short time.

I think he's a little young and inexperienced yet. But, yeah, he seems to be a great guy and I would vote for him for sure.

if i based my answer just on what he says, then yes....after looking at his actual voting record I'm not so sure...he's already acting like a typical politician, saying he's for the people and voting like an elite.
