Personally, I don't see how anything starring Bruce Campbell can be considered "scary".

It wasn't bad, but does not come close for best scary movie.

With The Exorcist, John Carpenter's The Thing, The Shining, and Alien along with other movies that have struck a nervous cord with the public, Evil Dead falls behind.

Look at the time periods as well. When the first Dracula movie came out, there was so much terror behind the name that he movie had to be changed so that there was no initial similarities with the book. You know this movie as Nosferatu and, during its initial tenure, was extremely frightening to the American public at the time.

It has its merits, but I don't think it's the best scary movie ever made. There were a few creepy parts, and the idea is pretty scary, but I wasn't actually that scared. The cinematography is very good, though.

As for scarier movies, The Shining and The Blair Witch Project are very frightening.

The Exorcist scared the mess out of me. The Exorcist II:The Heretic replace into even scarier. even however, the scariest action picture ever replace into, "Georgia regulations." Lindsay Lohan and Jane Fonda interior the comparable action picture scares the mess out of me. BTW is Felicity Huffman a guy? i admire horror video clips.
